ACW rules where infantry stands represent forces of from 1,000 to 3,000 men. Cavalry stands represent forces of from 750 to 2,500 men. In both cases, these would normally be brigades, but might be large regiments or small divisions. It doesn’t matter how many miniatures are placed on the stands, or what scale they are. They are just there for looks.
